Facebook launches new series of ads

Facebook recently launched a series of new ads. The themes of these new ads include two parts: First, "Our Friends", which, as always, emphasizes Facebook's connection to friends and socializing; the second is the Internet.org project, which focuses on the theme " If developing countries can access the Internet what can be done "this core unfolds."

Facebook is not the first to try to use the Internet to complete connections between people in advertisements. As early as 2013, #ConnectTheWorld activities emphasized the diversity of human cultures and the similarities in people's social life.

Also in 2013, Mark Zuckerberg announced the establishment of Internet.org, an organization dedicated to spreading the internet to all parts of the world. In setting up Internet.org, Mozart had said that Internet.org was not built for business, but more for human rights, in order to allow Internet access to the world's network-free regions.

Although it looks beautiful, Internet.org has been criticized. Theverge reports that Internet.org only allows users to connect to Facebook and other whitelist sites for free, unless users are willing to spend a fee on other network resources. That is, Internet.org does not really want to bring the internet to the world, more likely just for the spread of Facebook itself, while incidentally, in the remote areas of developing countries to open a small number of networks.

Facebook's two advertising themes, whether focused on friends or social Internet.org, or bringing the web to the world, are "connected" in fact. Facebook has been trying to convince people that the only link between themselves and the world is the one that Facebook has painted.
