There is also financing news: APP Annie has completed a new round of 17 million dollars in funding. The investors include IDG Capital, Greycroft and Sequoia Capital. This round of financing makes APP Annie's total financing amount to $39 million trillion, which is used to speed up new products, new platforms and new markets. The last round of 15 million dollars in financing was completed last September.

App Annie's main business is to help app developers and content Publishers track application sales, downloads, rankings, and reviews. App Annie says more than 90% of the top 100 IOS publishers are already using App Annie's data and products. In the past year, the number of APP Annie's employees has increased twice-fold and registered business users have grown to 250,000.

There are currently 600,000 applications using the analysis platform of app Annie and Distimo, and the total number of registered business users will reach 270,000.

App Annie CEO Bertrand Schmitt said that as App Annie's first acquisition, it was "an important milestone in growth that allows us to accelerate the product roadmap".

As part of the acquisition, Distimo founder Vincent Hoogsteder will play a key role in the new team. Distimo's Dutch headquarters will be the European Research and Development Center for APP Annie. The Distimo team will be integrated into APP Annie's global offices, expanding its entire team to 240 people, expanding its lead in the application analysis and market data industries.
