Mobile security maker NQ has found (PDF) that the number of malware infections in Android devices has grown from 10.8 million in 2011 to 32.8 million in 2012 years, meaning that the total number of infected devices has been 3 times times the same period last year.      NQ also found that almost 95% of the malware detected in 2012 was specifically designed to target Android devices.     This means that, so far, Google's mobile operating system will be the number one target of cyber crime in the future.     However, InfoWorld's Brian Katz says that does not mean that the U.S. region's Android users are also worried because most malware infections occur in China, India and Russia. In addition, Katz writes, if "download apps from only known sources"-such as Google Play and Amazon app store---can avoid most malicious applications.
