Chow Weiman (Joe Weinman) is a knowledgeable thinker and top cloud strategist in the field of cloud computing, with a wealth of experience in corporate strategy, business development, product management, marketing, emerging technology and research and development. He pioneered the definition of "cloud economics" (cloudonomics), dubbed "the top ten Cloud computing Leaders" by Techtarge.

China's industry is not unfamiliar to Chow Weiman, he was in 2013 as a guest speaker attended the Global Cloud Computing Conference, China Station meeting, September 16, 2014 in Shanghai, the Global Cloud Computing Conference, China Station meeting will also be invited Chow Weiman as a participant.

"Cloud Economics" is a popular and readable book by Weiman, the Shoubushijuan book, which does not have too many economic formulas or esoteric theories, weiman to not only redefine the business model of business-to-business, but also break down the business models, and put human history and competitive views through it. In the process of reading can let the reader out "Yes! Feeling.

In fact, the book "Cloud Economics" is mainly for non-it people to see. Weiman in the book summed up the Ten laws of cloud economics. Among them, the core of the Three laws are: the cost of public services at first glance although relatively high, but in fact, the cost is lower, on-demand resources than in advance estimates, the total peak will never be greater than the sum of the peak, the enterprise's resource deployment must take into account the maximum demand.

In order to further elaborate what is "cloud economics", Weiman examples of many vivid life. Among them, "a private car and often called a taxi compared to which more money" is a very interesting example.

In the short run, if you own a private car, every trip seems to cost only petrol, and a taxi is a lot more expensive. But in the long run, actually buying and owning a private car costs more, and calling a taxi completely eliminates the cost.

Using car leasing analogy, Weiman depicts the following five characteristics of cloud service.

Feature one: on-demand self-service. Renting a car is easy, you can make a phone call or book online.

Feature two: Widely distributed access network. Car rental agencies have networks all over the world and you can get car rentals anywhere.

Feature three: Resource aggregation. Car rental companies have a large number of cars in any city within their business coverage to meet leasing requirements. You don't have to worry about that. If an organization has no car to offer, they will often recommend other agencies to help you rent a car.

Feature four: fast adjustment ability. When a car rental company knows that there is a big event somewhere, the car will have to go there when the demand is big. They will adjust their size to meet changing needs.

Feature five: Billing services. You only pay for the time you use the car. Once the car is returned, your obligation is over. No need to pay for maintenance, insurance, fuel and tyre costs.

Indeed, the core of cloud computing is unanimously recognized as "access rather than ownership" concept. As the Chinese Institute of Electronic Information Industry development, Rowan, wrote in the recommended preface to this book:

...... Cloud computing is a business model that can get resources from the pool anytime, anywhere, conveniently and on demand. These resources can quickly supply, deliver, minimize the workload of resource management and the cost of interaction between users and service providers ... There is a convenient, inexpensive system available anytime and anywhere, why do we have to pursue the pursuit of a certain?
