Cloud Computing (Cloud computing) is becoming increasingly popular with the industry, but many people are not quite sure what it means. ' Cloud computing ' has now become an important and long-term trend: an internet-based Super computing model.

So it makes sense to briefly describe the implications, origins, and some of the computational trends associated with ' cloud computing '.

What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing, Cloud computing. Super Computing mode based on the Internet. The pooling of information and processor resources stored on personal computers, mobile phones and other devices to work together.

It is a new way of sharing infrastructure that can connect huge system pools together to provide a wide range of IT services. Many factors drive the need for such environments, including connectivity devices, real-time data streams, adoption of SOA, and rapid growth in Web 2.0 applications such as search, open collaboration, social networking, and mobile commerce. In addition, the improvement of the performance of digital components has greatly increased the size of the IT environment, thus further strengthening the need for a unified cloud management.

Cloud theory is a powerful tool for natural conversion between qualitative values of concepts and quantitative values of numbers. On the basis of cloud theory, this paper presents a cloud computing method to realize concept calculation (also called simplified calculation). The cloud model and uncertain inference are summarized, the logical description of the calculation is given, and the calculation process is abstracted into the inference process. Using the method of machine learning, the process of computing cloud is given, and the calculation process of cloud is given by using the method of uncertain inference, and the system realization of cloud computing is simply expounded.

The rise of cloud computing

Cloud computing is a new business model, and its core is still the data center, which uses mainly thousands of industrial standard servers, made up of Intel or AMD-produced processors and other hardware vendors. Enterprises and individual users are able to compute through high-speed Internet, thus avoiding a large amount of hardware investment.

In short, cloud computing will make the future of the Internet a supercomputing paradise. "The basic principle of cloud computing is that the Enterprise data center runs more like the Internet by distributing computing across a large number of distributed computers, rather than on a local computer or a remote server." This allows the enterprise to switch resources to the required applications and to access the computer and storage systems as needed. "At the IBM Innovation Forum in Shanghai in mid-November, Willy Chiu, vice president of IBM's High-performance on Demand Solutions team, explained to reporters.

This is a revolutionary move, for example, from an ancient single generator to a power plant's centralized power supply model. It means that computing power can also be used as a commodity circulation, like gas, water and electricity, easy to use, low-cost. The biggest difference is that it is transmitted over the Internet.

The technical competition attracted a large number of contestants. Information giants such as Sun, IBM, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon have all been traced. "Cloud computing is on the rise. "The driving force behind cloud computing is the development of high-speed Internet connections, cheaper and powerful chips, and the development of hard drives and data centers," said Dan Reed, a Microsoft supercomputer researcher. ”

Internet companies are the forerunners, and Google's search engine can be seen as an early product of cloud computing. The user's search request is sent over the Internet to a large server cluster on Google, which is completed before returning to the user's desktop. Amazon.com recently opened a service called "Resilient Computing Cloud" to developers, which allows small software companies to buy Amazon data center processing capabilities as needed.

The IT giants are looking for bigger business opportunities. In 2006, Sun launched a "black box" program based on cloud computing theory. According to its plan, future data centers will not be confined to crowded, muggy rooms, but a removable container--it is loaded with 10 tons of reasonably-housed servers as a removable data center. It can serve both large companies with tens of thousands of employees and support for SMEs. As for the best placement of the data center, it is recommended that the suburbs of the field, preferably near the power station, so that the cost can be minimized.

IBM, the blue giant, also cast a heavy bet on it, and named it "Blue Cloud". Not long ago, IBM and Google reached a partnership, two companies will each contribute 20 million ~2500 million dollars, to engage in computer science research professors and students to provide the necessary computer hardware and software and related services. "For me, it's like 2000 in the face of Linux," says Willian M.zeilter, senior vice president of the IBM System and technology team. "At present, the company has deployed more than 200 research and development personnel in this business research."

"In a sense, cloud computing is a natural development of grid computing models," he said. "said Frank Gens, an analyst at IDC. So who is going to win the game around cloud computing?

' Cloud computing ' related applications

Software as a service is often synonymous with ' cloud computing ', but in fact it is only a subset of ' cloud computing '. Examples of familiar business applications include salesforce.com (sales force automation) and Intuit Company's QuickBooks Online Edition software. These applications are basically hosted by the vendor and are published to the user by subscription, rather than a license program that an end-user installs on their hardware devices.

All kinds of online office kits, from Google Docs to Zoho, are more examples of the mass market. The most familiar is the core applications of the Web world---search applications, it is Google's main business to survive.

DaaS (data as a service) is a subset of SaaS that focuses on delivering the required data to a request rather than providing a more detailed, fully applied interface. Google's search business belongs to this application. Plug-and-play Web service provider Strikeiron provides Web services to verify and clean up data, as well as an example of Amazon's unfamiliar services that can query enterprise pricing information.

As more and more users need to lease the computing cycle (Compute Cycles), HaaS (Hardware-service) is becoming a hot topic, HaaS focuses on computing utility (Compute Utility). Amazon's elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is an example of Haas; Sun Grid computing and IBM's depth computing on Demand Center (Deep Computing Capacity on Demand Centers) is also an application of Haas, when it is more emphasis on efficient computing.

The huge impact of ' cloud ' computing

Another important concept is Web 2.0 or "read-write Network (Read-write web)", unlike traditional media, where Web 2.0 focuses on getting outside information rather than pushing it out. WEB 2.0 includes services such as social networking sites, online galleries (such as Flickr), and personal online calendars.

Although Web 2.0 has largely started with consumer applications, both its applications and styles are increasingly being applied to businesses, or at least to enterprise applications.

Some of the above examples show that ' cloud computing ' is not a use of network and outsourcing to run old applications, but a new way to get information, process and analyze data, and connect people and resources across the network.

But at the moment, ' cloud computing ' is still in its infancy, especially in environments where business applications are growing at a slower pace than the enthusiasm of users. But it is significant for how we calculate, even for those who want to build systems and software.
