Hewlett-Packard announced today the launch of a new product to help companies gain safe and secure information from large data through their unique situational perceptions, thereby improving their threat monitoring and defense.
For the first time, companies will be able to automatically apply emotional analysis and event information to large data and security event platforms for real-time understanding of their internal and external threat situations.
Combining comprehensive, real-time correlation and content analysis
HP integrates the HP ArcSight Security information and event Management (SIEM) capabilities with the HP Autonomy Idol content analysis engine to automatically identify the environment, concepts, emotions, and usage patterns that users interact with various types of data.
The new solution expands the coverage of enterprise security monitoring by interpreting the meaning of the original security data. By tracking and analyzing data-related human emotions (such as behavioral patterns, etc.), businesses can more quickly identify previously overlooked threats.
HP autonomy helps companies understand internal and external interactions through data, and the new HP ArcSight Cloud Event Collector framework (HP ArcSight Cloud Connector Framework) helps organizations easily collect application event and log data from cloud service providers. The Cloud Event Collector framework, based on industry-standard protocols, provides a unified, real-time view that enables organizations to understand user activities and monitor threats for internal and cloud applications.
Leverage Hadoop large data for broader security analysis
The All-new hp Arcsight/hadoop Integration utility is a plug-and-play platform that seamlessly integrates HP ArcSight 6.0c with apache™hadoop™. The combination of the two technologies accelerates the process of mining large data stores, providing a more complete view of the event and identifying security attack trends more quickly.
The solution combines HP ArcSight reporting, search, and correlation capabilities with a large, centralized repository of Hadoop to deliver petabytes of information storage capacity to the enterprise. Open-source machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, anomaly checking, and predictive analysis can be used to store data for better insight and resolution of security incidents.
"Many companies lack an understanding of the key information needed to withstand potential threats." "By combining cloud monitoring, content analysis and large data processing, HP can provide customers with the background information they need to effectively block potential vulnerabilities," said Yiu Xiang, general manager of Asia, Hewlett-Packard's enterprise Safety Products division. ”
HP Discover, an annual end-user conference in the Americas, will be held in Las Vegas, USA, from June 10, 2013 to 12th.
