Linux in the server market is also very good prospects. Eighty percent of respondents plan to use more Linux servers in the next five years. In contrast, only 20% of respondents intend to increase the purchase of Windows servers.
According to the Linux Foundation's research, Linux's position in delivering mission-critical workloads is also on the rise. In the 2010 survey, 60% of respondents use Linux for mission-critical deployments. In 2013, this figure has increased to 73%.
Cloud is still a bright spot in Linux, 76% of enterprises use Linux for cloud operations.
