Tencent Science and technology news November 5, has resolved to move office suites to mobile users of Microsoft, Tuesday announced the alliance of online storage service provider Dropbox.

Dropbox, which has been a competitor to Microsoft, is seeking to expand its corporate market, while Microsoft wants more users to receive its OneDrive storage services. After aligning with Dropbox, Office users are now able to enter Dropbox through mobile apps and write documents on Dropbox, said Kirk Koenigsbauer, vice president of Microsoft Office, Konigsbauer.

Users who use Windows or Windows Phone version of Office still need to wait a while to use this feature, as Microsoft will first provide access to Dropbox services to iOS and Android Office users in the coming weeks. This new approach is completely different from what Microsoft has done in the past. Prior to this, Windows users were always able to enjoy the new services offered by Microsoft in advance.

The change in priorities reflects the desire of Microsoft's chief executive, Satia Nadra Satya Nadella, to compete on internet-based cloud services and mobile services, both of which are at the heart of the company's recovery strategy. By making the Office suite available to as many users as possible, Nadra wants to ensure that the company's products are still widely used by users as they move from a desktop to a small device.

"The core of Microsoft's approach is not to put Windows first, but to make sure that no matter what device the user is using," says directions on Microsoft analyst Wess Miller, a market research firm that tracks Microsoft. Have access to Microsoft services. ”

The news of Microsoft's alliance with Dropbox also sparked a heated debate in Silicon Valley. The Dropbox, which now has 300 million users, is valued at $10 billion trillion in financing this January. At the end of 2009, Microsoft's Ballmer CEO, Steve Jobs, had offered to buy Dropbox, but the latter refused.

Move and Cloud

For Dropbox, the deal with Microsoft is in line with the company's goal of attracting more corporate customers. Dropbox updated its corporate services in April this year and has been seeking to address security concerns about the company's services. Corporate users have been blocking Dropbox services because of concerns about leaks of sensitive files or information. Ilia Forschmann Ilya Fushman, the Dropbox product business owner, said two companies needed to work together to provide better services for mobile and network users, given that more than 35 billion Office documents were stored on Dropbox. "Desktop users already have a very good experience, and we are looking to bring this experience to mobile and web users," says Forschmann. ”

Konigsbauer said that since the launch of the ipad version of Office this year, the application has been downloaded more than 40 million times. The new features of Microsoft and Dropbox will be available to any Office user with a Dropbox account. Dropbox enterprise users will need to use Office 365 services, which means that more mobile computing, cloud users will become a paid subscription to Microsoft products, which is what Nadra want to see.

Microsoft's share price was closed at $47.57 in conventional trading on the Nasdaq stock Exchange in Tuesday, up 0.13 dollars in the previous session, or 0.27% per cent. In the past 52 weeks, Microsoft's lowest share price was $34.63, with a maximum of 47.73 dollars. At the closing price of Tuesday, Microsoft's market capitalisation was close to $400 billion trillion, to $392.11 billion trillion, the second-largest technology company after Apple.
