Play video (compile/applies will) like the fate of XB360 now, the Kinect camera, which is due to be released this fall for major markets around the world, will miss the mainland market. Fan Mingxuan, Microsoft's China chief operating officer, said the Chinese Ministry of Culture issued a ban in 2000, the most important reason for the Kinect's inability to list in mainland China, where sixth of the ban stipulates that no business or individual will be allowed to engage in the production and sales of video-game equipment and 0 of its accessories. Fan Mingxuan did not say whether Microsoft would ask the Chinese government to remove the ban, but said Microsoft would maintain cooperation with Chinese domestic legislation. There are few successful cases of "legal" sales and purchase of video games in China. At the end of 2003, Nintendo, through its China joint venture, launched a "N64 machine" based on the modified mainframe, and also sold a significant number of GBA and DS portable handheld machines in mainland China. There are also signs that Nintendo is interested in selling the Wii mainframe in China. Despite official bans, there is still a large "grey market" in mainland China. According to an estimate made by analyst Niko Hanson in 2007, XB360 is the most popular product in the parallel market.
