Network Qin intercepts false 91 assistants affecting China and Southeast Asia

Beijing time October 15 Evening News, the Network Qin (NYSE:NQ) Tuesday announced that its mobile phone security software "NetQin Mobile Security," The Android version today found a new "fraudulent application", affecting China and several countries in Southeast Asia, Android users.

The fraudulent application can be disguised as a popular application 91 assistant update, when the user chooses to update, it will automatically download another in the background after the encapsulation of the application, and then without the knowledge of the user through the SMS subscription to pay services, resulting in additional costs to users. The fraudulent application also accesses and collects various information about the user's mobile phone, such as telephone numbers, IMEI and IMSI.

The Network Qin said that there are currently 193 users from the mainland of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as Angola, Iraq, Malaysia, Singapore and Viet Nam, who have been infected with the scam.
