Oracle has launched a new data center in Japan to deliver its rightnow cloud services to users in the region. Oracle said the move would help improve the company's service level and data governance management in the region.

Hurd, President Hurd, said the measure was a promise made by companies to Japanese companies. "This will reduce their software burdens and allow them to use more resources to help customers." ”

Oracle has built its "engineering system" product in this IT infrastructure support service, or it can optimize hardware for some particular Oracle software.

Oracle's RightNow is an application set that is delivered on a SaaS basis. including Rightnowwebexperience, socialexperience, contactcenterexperience, engageandserviceexperienceplatform.

SaaS is a key business direction for Oracle, and as an established software company, providing software services to other companies is an old profit point. Now that software service delivery has shifted to the cloud, Oracle has come into this more competitive area.

In Oracle's latest corporate earnings report, Hurd boasted of the obvious SaaS score, "at Q3, our SaaS revenue grew by more than 100% per cent as many users adopted our cloud applications for sales, services, marketing, and human resources management." ”

Oracle also said that new software licenses and cloud software subscriptions dropped 2% (to $2.3 billion) in Q3, while cloud software revenues rose 111%.

But in the cloud computing market, Oracle is more than just a SaaS, and it has bigger ambitions. Earlier this month, it announced acquisitions of Nimbula, an automated infrastructure management technology that runs the analytics platform on Hadoop. The company is also a member of the OpenStack.

In addition to SaaS products, Oracle also has IaaS and PAAs products.

To strengthen its cloud products, Oracle has launched new data centers around the world to provide support. Abhayparasnis, senior vice president of Oracle Cloud Computing, said last October that the company had 10 data centers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

This January, Oracle announced the launch of a second data center in Australia to serve its clients.
