Unison is a cross-platform file synchronization tool that not only supports local synchronization, but also enables synchronization via SSH, RSH, and socket network protocols. Even better, Unison supports bidirectional synchronization, and you can sync from a to B, or from B to a, which requires no additional setup.

Unison, like Linux software in general, has a core command-line component. Those orders may make it harder to get started. Fortunately, Unison has a graphics version based on GTK +, and if you are an Ubuntu user, simply type the following command to install:

sudo apt install unison-gtk

After installation, it should appear in the "Application"-> "Internet". If not, enter the UNISON-GTK under the terminal or press (ALT+F2) enter unison to start it.

When first started, it lets you select the root directory and the target directory. Because Unison has at least one profile at run time, you have to specify. Unison's multiple case support allows you to manage multiple synchronizations through a unified interface.
