Microsoft announced today that the Windows Phone version of Angry Birds, which was due to be launched this month, will be delayed until June 29 for $2.99, the company said in the morning news of Beijing time May 19. Microsoft also said several games, including graffiti jumping (Doodle Jump) and "zombies", would be landing on the Windows Phone platform in the coming weeks. The company calls these games the "Essential Games" series, while Angry Birds is the finale of the series. Microsoft released its Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system last October. Players found that the "Angry Birds" icon quietly appeared on the WP7 system's propaganda page, which can not help but imagination. The game's developer Rovio later said it plans to launch the Windows Phone version of Angry Birds this year. (Yan Fei)
