NetEase Finance February 28 News According to the Malaysian newspaper The Edge Saturday reported that China Construction Bank is interested in buying Malaysian banking Eon Capital BHD (EONP) part of the equity.  The report quoted industry sources as saying that CCB, China's second-largest bank, would soon apply to the Bank of Malaysia for negotiations with Eon Capital. "Under an intergovernmental plan, CCB is expected to be allowed to negotiate with Eon Capital," the unnamed person said. "EON Capital is now the subject of a takeover battle.  The company's largest shareholder, the Hong Kong Private equity fund Primus Pacific Partners and other shareholders, objected to the Leong Bank's acquisition of Eon Capital. Primus filed a lawsuit last year demanding that the court prevent the Leong bank from acquiring Eon Capital. The Leong Bank is Malaysia's sixth-largest lender.  The case is still in progress. The Edge reported that it is not yet known how the construction Bank plans to acquire a stake.
