"After the handover, I plan to serve as executive chairman of UT's board of directors and continue to work full-time as a company executive, focusing on UT's corporate strategy, technology and customer relationships," Lu Hongliang said in a statement.  The company also plans to let the incumbent chairman, Thomas J. Toy, remain chief independent director after his departure. Since 2005, Blakemore has served as the executive vice president of the benefit system and is responsible for global sales, marketing and technology. The benefit system is a global information Technology Service and solution provider with operations in more than 100 countries and regions. Prior to joining the benefit system, Blakemore worked for Hewlett-Packard and served as executive vice president of Customer Solutions Group (2004), executive vice president of Enterprise Systems Group (2002-2004). From 1991 until Compaq was acquired by Hewlett-Packard, he held several managerial positions at Compaq and the last was the executive vice president of the global Sales and Services Division (2000-2002).
