BEIJING, September 7 (reporter Changgong Wang Yu) this morning, the "new form, new ideas, new challenges-to explore the road of cooperation and mutual win" as the theme of the 21st Century Forum 2010 conference opened in Beijing. In his speech, former Nigerian President Obasanjo pointed out that science and technology can be a good "servant" or a bad "master", whether it is the former or the latter, depending on scientists, technologists and politicians. If we are to make this era different from the past, we must change the mentality and thinking of leaders around the world, and the leaders themselves must begin to care about the world and the world's justice and common development. The full text of the statement is as follows: First, I would like to thank the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for inviting me to participate in this meeting, and I would like to express my appreciation for the very urgent theme of "Building a harmonious coexistence world", which I fully agree with. The theme of the Conference, "The situation, the new challenges, the new ideas--to explore the path of cooperation and mutual win" has raised a crucial question: "Can we win together?" "Looking back, it's hard to give a positive answer to this question. The Industrial Revolution brought some people to the development, progress and improvement of living standards, but also let many people continue to do the work of fetching firewood. The end of the First World War had brought some to a new era of political and diplomatic arrangements, but it had also allowed many to continue to suffer from the domination and exploitation of colonialism, which had emerged as an international coalition, but did not end the war forever. The end of the Second World War had brought the United Nations and its affiliates and affiliated organizations, who were primarily committed to conflict prevention, peacebuilding and sustainable development. However, the world and the future will ultimately be divided into three parts: the First world, the Second world and the Third World, in political, institutional, economic and social. This era in military, industrial production, aviation, great technological advances have been made in medicine, aerospace, microbiology and information and communication technologies, but this is still an unfair world in which the parts of the world distrust, fear and distrust each other, not a world that explores the path of cooperation and win, but a mutual fear, A world in which mutual threats and mutual assurance destroy each other and the brutal competition of life and death. The end of the cold war and the beginning of the new millennium are the new era we are in, and what does it mean for all of us? What are the challenges? What's the future? What are some of the things that are obviously different from the past? In short, what do we do to make this era different from the past? What is to be done to promote global solidarity, peace and development? I think mankind has made great and monumental achievements in science and technology, and today we are talking about "global village". Man has ascended the moon, and is preparing to ascend to Mars, but since the first appearance of mankind on earth, human nature and instincts have not undergone fundamental changes, even if there is little change, great futurists are concerned about how humans can control and harness their own nature and instincts, To ensure that human consumption of limited resources and endless technologyAdvances in surgery will not combine to destroy our world. Science and technology can be a good "servant" or a very bad "master" whether it is the former or the latter, depending on scientists, technologists and politicians. If we are to make this era different from the past, first, the mindset and thinking of leaders around the world must be changed, and the leaders themselves must begin to care about the world, to care for the world's just and common development, and we must think of development as a rich people, a community, a viable system, a stronger human connection and a shared knowledge, and to give full commitment to global harmony. If we talk about globalization, it must be realistic and relevant, it must have the same meaning for people all over the world, something that is very clear and effective and that has a positive impact on the lives of every citizen of the globe, something that is shared by all. There must be a global perspective, a global perspective and a global perspective on global leaders, and we must devise strategies to ensure that global plans are used to replace national and even regional initiatives. Policies and actions, which require us to immediately put forward relevant research topics on global harmony, planning and policy, set up institutional, conceptual and design frameworks, and propose new values and new words. If we are serious and committed to our commitments, national and regional policies and plans must be accepted and tested through the agreed global impact assessment. Such policies and plans must have a positive impact beyond the national and regional borders of both the creator and the executor. We need to make a lot of fundamental changes in the ideals, commitments, orientations, attitudes and interactions of leaders, and we have the resources and technology to continue to progress, but we do not yet have the leadership needed to create a global, fair, and satisfying, and mutually-win future, that is the challenge. If the leaders of the world are struggling to create such a future in their own countries, is it not a fantasy to ask them to do so on a global scale? This requires us to re-examine all the failures we have encountered in setting global minimum standards for domestic or national socio-economic and political actions and commitments. Only after we have reformed, reformed and reconfigured local and national leadership in prosperity, peace and harmony will our desire for a harmonious global environment be meaningful, in other words, I suggest that we should take a bottom-up and top-down approach, as opposed to a top-down agenda, We must begin with a serious focus on how to deal with the fundamental challenges of risk. Poverty, environmental degradation, political unrest, human rights abuses, civil war, terrorism, industrialization and poor leadership, for example, are the only way to build and nurture a bottom-up development base for the harmonious coexistence of humankind. The fact is that the world is confronted with common problems and challenges, the efforts of national or regional leaders alone cannot effectively be resolved, whether they are international organizations or institutions such as the United Nations, the Group of 20 or the group of 8, or regional organizations or institutions such as the African Union, the European Union, the CIS, the Organization of American States and ASEAN, Policy design, planning and planningMust contain global content for the benefit of mankind, and since all citizens of the Earth Village are damaged and proud, no matter what happens in the global village, the citizens and occupants of the Earth village are by no means irrelevant bystanders. Faced with this new focus and renewed concern, a practical measure would be to carry out a campaign to ensure that political parties, in their campaign statements, include the past achievements and credentials of the policy plan on globalization and incorporate them into the eligibility of political parties, which is the overall interest of humanity, as promised by the government and the leaders, A reliable method of thinking, organizing, plotting, and acting in different ways. Political leaders around the world are the key to this new era, because they are the vanguard of providing such an idea of guidance and leadership, that this new era is no longer an era of business as usual, but an era of real change for the search for cooperation and win. The era of individual national efforts may have played a very good role in the past, but the problem is gradually beyond the scope of individual national efforts, which means that in order to be able to create a safe, suitable, prosperous and equitable future for all, we must transcend national, even subregional and continental interests for the benefit of the world. I have no exaggeration to say that the creation of this new era, the government or non-governmental organizations can also play a very important role, and this new era, in thinking, planning, planning and implementation of the people-driven, people-oriented, human-oriented. Politicians may be able to ignore the pressures of such parastatal and nongovernmental organizations and voters at the expense of themselves. I think that this new era can bring a fresh without division, but in a world of difference, it has a common agenda of common security and common prosperity, a satisfying world for all, and a satisfying world that is unlikely to breed discontent, terrorists and anti-democratic forces and tendencies, ripe for National and international non-governmental organizations, aimed at global governance and global action, should be set up to complement the efforts of visionary leaders who are about to meet the challenge. Looking ahead, what ideas will leaders present today to encompass the big events of the world today? The issue of climate change must be addressed both technically and politically, and peace and conflict management must be addressed from a psychological and political perspective, and the issue of food security must be addressed from a scientific, managerial and political perspective. But, as a new era of global win, in addition to the leadership level that is associated with excellent ideas, extraordinary charisma, and a commitment to persuasion, persuasion and motivation, all management and leadership tools need to begin to push the world into the next phase of globalization, beyond finance, economy and trade, The pursuit of global governance, common security, common prosperity and good health. I do not see anything more worthy of this era than this, and the visionary leaders of this era must act in a global perspective, which is the leader's path to greatness, which is the creation of greatThe path, the goal is clear, the challenge is enormous, but not insurmountable, but success will make the global village more harmonious, more suitable for every person living here. The world is likely to become a reality only if we devote ourselves wholeheartedly to building it, nurturing it and defending it.
