Fujitsu buys French cloud services start-up company Runmyprocess-News Center

"Sadie Network News" April 9, according to foreign media reports, Japanese manufacturers Fujitsu has acquired the French cloud services start-up Runmyprocess, and will also create a new software development Center for cloud applications in the United States.

Runmyprocess primarily helps enterprise users consolidate local services and cloud services, providing API connectors to Web services such as Google Apps, allowing those network services to interact with local databases and other network services. That means customers can keep their existing infrastructure and switch to Google-provided Web Forms or spreadsheet apps.

Runmyprocess also provides connectors for other cloud service providers such as Salesforce.com and Oracle CRM. It can also help customers replace older systems with a variety of cloud services, such as helping customers migrate from Lotus Notes to Google Apps.

Fujitsu says the company will soon integrate the products and services of its newly acquired company into its cloud services suite. It says the Runmyprocess platform provides a complete set of modular interfaces and tools to help companies respond more flexibly to customer needs.

Through this acquisition, Fujitsu will also be able to provide customers with some cloud solutions, rather than large-scale integration projects. The runmyprocess approach is smaller than a complete cloud solution, and a complete cloud solution typically requires customers to transfer existing software to a remote server. In addition, the prices of runmyprocess services are relatively inexpensive, and the starting price of the package year service is 40 dollars.

Fujitsu announced the deal in Monday, but did not disclose the price of the deal. Runmyprocess was founded in 2007 and is said to have undertaken more than 300 projects in 45 countries.

In addition, Fujitsu says it plans to create a new software development Center for cloud applications in the United States.
