Fujitsu and Http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/14583.html "> Australia's Microsoft recently released the cloud of Australia's cloud survey report. Cloud computing is one of the biggest waves of information and communication technology (ICT) change in the past 20 years-and it is so important that it changes the way people understand ICT and how it is delivered and used. This valuable research provides us with a very important point of view and a lot of discussion on specific cloud trends and issues in the Australian market.
"The establishment of the study shows that cloud computing has arrived and will continue to grow in functionality and popularity," said Greg Stone, Microsoft's chief technology officer in Australia, Gregg Stone. The idea of ' information utility ' will be closer to reality. ”
The answer from 179 CIOs across Australia shows that cloud computing, while still in its infancy, is the future of ICT. The maturity of a series of supporting technologies and the conduct of business practice, gives it the potential to implement a variety of functions, including broadband communications (which now have enough bandwidth to display large amounts of data), providing complete application functionality as a web-based service cost, efficient outsourced services, and mobile computing.
Craig Baty, Chief innovation officer at Cregg Batty, Australia and New Zealand, said: "Cloud's migration is a trend." The results of this study reflect Fujitsu's extensive experience in this area. Our customers are moving more and more into cloud computing's core business systems. ”
As CIOs continue to embrace cloud computing, the need to reduce spending is basically balanced with scalability and flexibility. Applications that have begun to use cloud computing have proved its benefits.
According to Baty, the results suggest that prices are not the most important factor CIOs have to choose from cloud providers. While cost-saving and productivity enhancement are the Chief Information Officer's main drivers for cloud transfer, the price factor is very low when choosing a cloud supplier. Data security, vendor-provided service support, privacy, and other factors are ranked more forward.
Although cloud computing is maturing, it still lacks a standard definition. "Cloud is still difficult to define in the eyes of the CIO surveyed, but they know what it means to themselves," says Stone. Although more than 50% per cent of respondents said cloud computing was overblown, they almost agreed that the praise of the cloud was fair. The use of cloud computing has brought many advantages to their company. ”
