Gartner has endorsed the vision of Microsoft Yun Danjing

Four months ago, Windows Azure Infrastructure services ended the preview phase, officially released, with industry-leading SLAs. Then, with the integrity and execution of the vision, Gartner quickly endorsed Microsoft's vision in the marketplace, which was strongly confirmed by its 2013 cloud infrastructure, the service (IaaS) Magic Quadrant report.

We believe that Gartner has endorsed Microsoft's vision because our comprehensive global IaaS + PaaS + Hybrid Cloud vision is one of our greatest strengths.

Microsoft Cloud Vision

To achieve our vision, over the past year, we have invested heavily in Windows Azure, from introducing infrastructure services to publishing countless other services, including media services, mobile services, and Web sites. We have expanded a number of Windows Azure's international markets, including becoming the first cloud provider to provide public cloud services in mainland China. In addition, we have made notable improvements in managing portals. We believe that the results of this report are a good proof of what we have done and what we are planning to achieve.

Over the past few weeks, Brad Anderson, vice president of Windows Server and System center group, has been actively involved in writing the "New R2" blog series detailing System Center 2012 and Windows The R2 version of Server 2012 delivers new features and customer benefits, updates to Windows Intune, and how these products combine with Windows Azure to make the cloud operating system vision a reality. We believe that the cloud operating system is our strong advantage and that it will continue to drive our success in the IaaS market.
