He will also explain the problem that sequence diagrams cannot be edited, the need to generate editable sequence diagrams, and the steps to generate editable charts.
Import sample Application
When browsing the example, we will use the Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 3.0 that came with the Ibm®rational®software Architect aggregation/16460.html ">counter sample to generate some sequence diagrams. First, import the sample application:
Start Rational Software Architect in the new workspace. Click Help from the Workspace menu, and then click Welcome. Click the Samples icon, as shown in Figure 1, to open a window with several options select the Counter application from the list of sample applications (see Figure 2), click Import Sample from the Help window (see Figure 3). This opens a dialog window that specifies where you want to copy the project's folder in the project location root.
The Rational Software Architect then copies all the artifacts of the Counter application to the specified location and then imports them into the workspace, as shown in Figure 4.
