According to the Ministry of Labour, the initial figures show that the number of unemployed persons increased by 31,000 in June, a significant increase from 7000 in the previous one months, but the data will be distorted by the amendment to the definition of job seekers. It noted that the new definition had led to a 19,000 per year increase in the seasonally adjusted number of unemployed persons.
