Getting Started with Alibaba Translate

Levering its leading natural language processing technology and massive e-commerce data, Alibaba Translate has developed a deep neural network translation (NMT) system based on the attention mechanism. At present, the system has been widely used in various e-commerce-linked services for basic data fields, including SEO, searches, product titles, product details, product comments, instant messaging, and risk control. Alibaba Translate helps resolve all language barriers for global websites and software. In addition to tiered discounts, buyers of resource packages now can invoke the system to translate 1 million characters free of charge each month.

It can enable your sales and support departments to receive and understand enquiries from customers in other markets. It gives your own staff the ability to access important research, conference presentations and documentation that they would not otherwise be able to understand. You can try Machine Translation for free, straight from your web browser without any programming. Log into your Alibaba Cloud account and head to https://www.alibabacloud.com/products/machine-translation . Click on the Buy Now button and then on the Activate Service button, then follow the instructions to enable the service on your account. Now just head to the Machine Translation page from the list of products and click on Demo. From here you can choose an edition (general or e-commerce), the source and destination languages, and up to 2,000 characters of text to translate. Just enter or paste the text, click the Translate button and the translated text will appear almost instantly.

Quick Start- Activate the service

Open the Alibaba Cloud home page (Alibaba Cloud home page) and choose Products > AI > Machine Translation from the navigation bar to enter the Machine Translation page. Select Activate Service.

Select I Have Read and Accepted the Agreement, and click Activate Now: [activation link]

Go to the Machine Translation console and select Buy Resource Package: [resource package link]

Buy the corresponding resource package. The unit price is lower if more resource packages are bought.

Call the purchased resource package. Debug the resource package on the API debug page.
