Global Internet Addiction Rankings: It turns out they play the most ferocious

A new study, December 2, shows Brazilians are the most frequent online, followed by Nigerians and South Africans. A new report by A.T Kearney, a business consultancy, says that because of the high rate of smartphone penetration among young Brazilians, the country has beaten nine other countries on a frequent internet level. ▲ The percentage of people who have been on the net at least once per hour the research is for netizens who surf at least once a week. Respondents were also relatively young, 64% of whom were aged 45 or below. In the survey, 51% of Brazilian netizens said they had been online all day and 20% said they had at least 10 times a day. No wonder: Brazil's smartphone penetration was second in Latin America in early 2014 (first in Mexico, but not in Mexico). At least 10 times a day, or the proportion of users online all day, Brazil's highest, Nigeria and South Africa ranked second and third respectively. Internet addiction is also related to two other factors. People who surf the internet for the longest time are often young (53% of the 16-35-Year-old) and unmarried (the ratio is 53%). Social networking has facilitated the growth of network usage. In Brazil, respondents spent 58% of their online time on social networking sites, higher than any other country.
