June 10 News, according to foreign media reports, Internet domain Name Service company VeriSign recently issued a report that up to the end of the first quarter of 2010, the global Internet top-level domain name registered total of more than 193 million.
The report shows that by the end of the first quarter of this year, the world's top Internet domain names have exceeded 193 million, up 6% from the first quarter of 2009, a 0.6% increase from the fourth quarter of last year
Of these, the. com and. NET domain names were 99.3 million, up 2.7% from the fourth quarter last year, and 7% per cent compared with the first quarter of last year.
In the first quarter of this year, the average number of new. com and. NET domain registrations was about 2.7 million per month, with a total growth of about 8.1 million in the quarter.
