HP (HP) continued to maintain a global lead in server shipments in the first quarter of 2014 (see table 2), although its shipments decreased by 7.9% per cent compared with the same period in 2013. HP (HP) global server shipments accounted for 22.6%, while Dell ranked second in the 19.7% market share.

Of the top five of global server shipments, only Huawei and the wave have achieved shipments growth in the first quarter of 2014, by 61% and 288.7% per cent respectively. It is also the first time the wave has been among the world's top five server shipping companies.
