The Gnome subtitles 1.2 release contains important improvements: merging and segmenting subtitle lines, viewing character counts, applying response delays, playing in slow/fast motion video, and quickly adjusting new shortcut timings. now supports FAB subtitle format, video automatic timing changes. It also includes bug fixes and other features.
Gnome Subtitles is a subtitle editor under a GNOME desktop. It supports most common text format captions and supports subtitle editing, translation, and synchronization operations.

./configure
Make
After the program is installed, the CD runs to the build directory: Mono Gnome-subtitles.exe
Installation: Make install
Running: gnome-subtitles or using the icons in the Gnome menu
