The GNU Stow is a management program for package installation when installed in the same place (USR) to keep the path of the installer separate (e.g./usr/local/stow/emacs vs./usr/local/stow/perl). Stow is a Perl script that runs in Perl version 5.005 and above and you have to install Perl before running Stow.

GNU Stow 2.1.1 This version is a minor release, fixes several installation issues, and enhances some files.
