The GNU TeXmacs is a free scientific editing software with special features. The software provides a unified and user-friendly framework for editing structured documents, including text, mathematical operations, graphics, and interactive content. TeXmacs can also be used as an interface for an external system, such as computer algebra, numerical analysis, statistics, and so on.

The GNU TeXmacs version 1.0.7.12 provides a switch from the X11 interface to a new, QT-based interface flag, and Tex/latex dependencies have been completely removed. The new version now has integrated documents and the most standard fonts. Table editors have been simplified, and plug-ins can present their own documents.
