GPFS 3.4 How to add a GPFS cluster node, delete a node, etc.

GPFS's full name is: General Parallel http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/19352.html ">file system, that is, common parallel file systems. IBM GPFS is a scalable high-performance parallel file system, which has the following three main features:

High-availability cluster architecture for flexible scaling support for parallel shared disk access, providing a single namespace for parallel I/O load optimization, providing extremely high I/O processing capability

This article is mainly based on GPFS configuration changes and performance testing, so GPFS installation, in this article do not repeat.

GPFS configuration Changes

Dynamically add a NSD client

Let's take a 6-node GPFS cluster as an example:

First, set the order in which NSD server accesses NSD disks to achieve load balancing and multipath.

Before you modify, you need to uninstall the GPFs file system on all nodes:

To set the access priority for a disk:

Then, confirm that the change is in effect:

Next, add the 7th node to the GPFS cluster "78001_LPAR1"

First verify that the node 78001_lpar1 does not belong to any GPFS cluster:
