Groupon, an American group-buying site, has acquired Adku, an E-commerce target start-up. Adku can use large data to personalize the shopping experience of users of e-commerce sites such as ebay, http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/2467.html, >amazon and Zappos.

Adku with three months of time to create their personalized target technology, in 1.5 before the Angelpad Demo Demo Day was formally established, and then has been in the "stealth mode." Adku is not only a member of the incubator Angelpad, but also supported by Greylock, Battery Ventures and True Ventures three venture capital companies.

Although Adku's CEO Ajit Varma and several of the company's 6-person team are former Google employees, the acquisition is not a talent acquisition but a "team + technology" acquisition, which is more than $10 million trillion. Varma declined to say what his team would be responsible for in Groupon.

It is not clear where Adku's technology will be applied, but the acquisition is significant on many levels, especially since the personalization experience is the direction of most e-business advances.
