Start compiling

# make

Setup files

# make Install

Install default data Directory

#/opt/mysql5/bin/mysql_install_db

Modify Configuration

Create and modify a primary configuration file

# CP/OPT/MYSQL5/SHARE/MYSQL/MY-LARGE.CNF/OPT/MYSQL5/VAR/MY.CNF

# Cd/opt/mysql5/var

# VI MY.CNF

Note unknown option, look for "skip-federated" and modify it to the following (blue section)

#skip-federated

Check and save and exit

Start and stop services

To start the service, use a dedicated account (WebUser) operation

# sudo-u Webuser/opt/mysql5/share/mysql/mysql.server Start

Note: The start service command can be added to the/etc/rc.d/rc.local file to enable the service to start automatically with system startup

Stop service, use private account (WebUser) operation

# Sudo-u Webuser/opt/mysql5/share/mysql/mysql.server Stop

Set Administrator password
