Hdparm is a Linux shell utility for viewing and manipulating various IDE drives and drive parameters. Most drives can benefit from performance by using similar commands such as Hdparm-qm8-qu1-qc1-qd1/dev/hda.

Hdparm 9.38 This version of the wipe script wiper.sh was updated to support all Scsi_disk main device numbers. Supports a long security-erase time for updates. The "J" tag is added to the Wdidle3 accessors.
