Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced yesterday, 4th, the group of mining companies and Tangshan Luannan County Government signed cooperation to develop Maastricht, Jia Zhuang jingxing Iron ore agreement.　　It is expected that after 3-5 years of joint efforts, MA Cheng Iron ore will be built into the country's largest underground mine. The Maastricht Iron deposit, with a capacity of 1 billion tonnes, was discovered in 2009 and caused a stir in the country. Maastricht Iron Mine is located in the Luannan County of the horse town, mining area of 29 square kilometers, the amount of proven resources reached 1.044 billion tons, the forecast resource volume of 500 million tons, ore average grade 35%.　　This is the largest iron ore resource of single deposit in China since the 80 's. Hebei province is China's iron ore consumption of a large province, Hebei Iron and Steel Group is China's largest production of steel group. 2008, Hebei Province Iron powder consumption of about 183 million tons, equivalent to 400 million tons of ore. At present, the province iron ore self-sufficiency rate is higher than the national average, but the annual import of iron ore still need about 100 million tons, iron and steel industry dependence on imported ore is very large. The discovery of Maastricht iron ore will effectively relieve the tension of iron ores supply and the shortage of reserve resources in iron mine development, and will play an important role in resource support and guarantee for the whole province and even the national steel industry.
