2, if you use Totem-xine, edit ~/.gnome2/totem_config, add: Video.driver:Xshm If you have previously set video.driver, you control the modification. Then restart Totem, play, screenshots. When you are finished, you can comment out or delete the VIDEO.DRIVER:XSHM.
