HP will buy storage software developer Ibrix

Beijing time July 17 Evening News, Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ) said it will acquire storage software developers Ibrix.  The acquisition is expected to be completed within 30 days and the financial terms of the deal are not disclosed.  Ibrix, based in Billerica, Massachusetts, developed software to help businesses store large amounts of data generated by users. Hewlett-Packard said Ibrix's software would strengthen its position in computing storage, cloud storage (cloud storage) and fixed content archiving, a market that is growing at a rate of 20% a year.
