HTC sued IPCom for alleged infringement of patent rights

Sina Science and technology news June 22 morning, according to foreign media reports, HTC last week in the UK by German technology company IPCom sued, accusing its products violated a ipcom European patent. IPCom filed the lawsuit against the High Court in London in Friday.  Bernhard Frohwitter, managing director of IPCom, said the company had made a fair and reasonable authorization to HTC and said the lawsuit was aimed at HTC's 3G equipment.  In a statement, HTC spokesman said the company is extremely respectful of intellectual property rights and is currently assessing the lawsuit and is not expected to comment further on the issue until the problem is resolved. The ipcom earlier sued Nokia for the same patent and was ruled by a British judge as valid. (Greek)
