Hu Jintao attends Sino-gram Business forum and entrepreneur Fair

This newspaper Zagreb June 20 (reporter Wu Yumin, Liu Huanua) President Hu Jintao and Croatian President Mesic 20th jointly attended the opening ceremony of the China-Croatia business forum and entrepreneur Fair in Zagreb. Hu stressed that recalling the history of friendly exchanges between the two countries and looking forward to a better future of bilateral cooperation, it is necessary for us to examine and grasp the Sino-Croat relations from a strategic height, to comprehensively plan the ways of bilateral cooperation and to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries to a new level.　　To this end, Hu made the following recommendations. First, enhance political mutual trust and promote common development.　　Based on the principle of mutual trust, mutual aid, reciprocity and mutual benefit, we should strengthen dialogue, broaden consensus, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, enrich the connotation of the comprehensive partnership between China and the UK, and promote long-term and stable all-round development of bilateral friendly cooperation. Second, expand the scale of trade and promote balanced development. It is hoped that the two countries will strengthen cooperation and strive to excavate products that meet the needs of the market and expand their trade.　　We welcome Croatian enterprises to promote their products by exhibiting in various forms, expanding exports to China and promoting balanced development of bilateral trade. Third, broaden the field of cooperation and enhance the level of cooperation.　　Give full play to the economic complementarity between the two countries, encourage and support enterprises to actively explore home appliances, telecommunications, logistics, tourism, research and development, infrastructure construction, project contracting and other fields of cooperation, expand mutual investment, cultivate new growth points of bilateral economic and trade relations. Four, use good cooperation mechanism, deepen mutual understanding.　　The two sides should make better use of the macro-guidance and coordinating role of the two countries ' joint Economic and Trade committee mechanism, and properly plan the direction of cooperation; intermediary organizations such as investment and trade promotion agencies of the two countries ' chambers should play a full role as a bridge and link to help enterprises find more trade and investment opportunities Hu pointed out that at present, the international financial crisis is still spreading and deepening.　　The Chinese government is willing to continue to work with the international community, including Croatia, to strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination and make its due contribution to the reform of the international financial system, the fight against trade and investment protectionism and the promotion of world economic recovery. Hu pointed out that strengthening bilateral friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation is in the fundamental interests of the two peoples and is conducive to promoting common development.　　I firmly believe that with the unremitting efforts of the two Governments and the business sector, including all the friends present here, the Sino-Croat economic and trade cooperation will surely bear more fruitful fruits. In his speech, Mesic said that the leaders of both sides attach great importance to and actively promote bilateral economic and trade relations. Economic and trade cooperation has become an important part of bilateral relations, and the two sides have great potential in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, technology and infrastructure construction.　　He hoped that the two countries ' entrepreneurs would strengthen their confidence, focus on the long-term, increase investment, adjust the trade structure and promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations. He said that in the current countryIn the context of the inter-financial crisis, China has launched a large-scale economic stimulus plan, increased investment in economic and social undertakings, China's experience in coping with the impact of the international financial crisis deserves the reference of Croatia.　　Chinese Commerce Minister and Croatian Chamber of Commerce president spoke at the meeting. The Forum was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.　　The opening ceremony was attended by more than 500 Chinese and Croatian government officials and business people.
