Huawei and Singapore M1 Company sign 280 million new contract

BCC, Beijing, May 15 (Xinhua) The Financial Times reported that Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. and Singapore mobile operator M1 Ltd., in a recent announcement, said  The two companies have signed the 280 million new five-year contract, and Huawei will provide M1 with a fourth-generation mobile technology: long-term evolution technology, or LTE technology. The M1 's LTE network covering the whole of Singapore will be completed in the first quarter of 2012, the bulletin said.  But the announcement does not indicate when Huawei finalized the contract. Critics say the deal highlights Huawei's ambitions to expand overseas and in the 4G technology sector.
