Recommendation system is a very important field in computer research, and it is inseparable from the relation of large data. By analyzing massive amounts of data, recommender systems can learn about the relationships between user preferences and various object attributes, as well as changes in user preferences or behavior in different contexts, giving more accurate and personalized recommendations.
The President of this meeting is Professor Yangqiang, director of Noah's Ark Laboratory. "This Recsys conference is the world's top recommendation system Congress, held for the first time in Asia, and it is of particular importance to hold such a meeting of great academic and industrial interest at a time when large data fields are emerging," Professor Yang said in his opening speech. "The meeting also invited Professor Oren Etzioni of the University of Washington, Dr. Shen, technical assistant director of Baidu Company, and Mr. Muran, co-founder of the Lily Net, to be the keynote speaker.
At the meeting, Zhangbao, deputy director of Noah's Ark Laboratory, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. The chief scientist, Dr. Hangyuan, spoke at a doctoral seminar and provided guidance to students who were pursuing doctoral programs. In addition, director scientist Davin at the industry seminar on Huawei's research and future development in large data and recommender systems, analyzes the evolution of recommender systems in recent years, and introduces Huawei's commitment to developing recommendations for different customer needs. The new recommendation system technology will significantly increase the recommended precision, while reducing the need for manual control of the system.
Noah's Ark Lab is working on a number of related projects in the recommended system:
1. Using the recommendation technology and algorithm, Huawei mobile Phone application Market "Wisdom Yun" users recommend personalized mobile phone applications. 2. To recommend more appropriate financial products to clients through cooperation with banks. 3. The development of micro-BO robot, analysis of the content on Weibo, automatic forwarding of interest may be interested in micro-blog messages. 4. Through the analysis of user preferences and behavior, the development of the next generation of smartphones, anytime, anywhere analysis of user interests and circumstances, recommend the most able to help users solve the current problem options, become the user's best partner.
These projects have been gradually achieved, in which the mobile phone application recommendation system has been able to "smart cloud" application of the download rate increased by more than 30%, micro-BO robot has been more than 400 real user attention (http://weibo.com/u/2867879661), and received a lot of positive feedback. The technology developed by these projects has greatly enhanced Huawei's ability to do large data analysis and referral systems, making Huawei more competitive in the big data age.
The ACM Recsys Conference is an international conference organized by the Computer Association. Every year, eminent scholars or researchers from the recommended systems field are invited to serve as keynote speakers, inviting scholars and engineers to contribute to the research recommendation system. Each year, the Conference organizes a competition called Recsys Challenge, which provides research data and a title to the Internet or IT companies and openly recruits innovative algorithms.
