Hyper-V Cloud Computing: A Primer to Drive Your Private Cloud

As the cloud computing market continues to explode, IaaS vendors are also competing to serve users' businesses. Which of these vendors which one is better, and which one better? More than 70% of the world's servers are using the Windows Server operating system, while the number of users is precisely the goal of Microsoft's cloud computing products. Because VMware's virtualization technology is already in use on numerous Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft has had to face the challenge of being a strong competitor.

Microsoft's cloud computing strategy involves two distinct parts of the cloud computing software product and the near-absence of interoperability between them.

1. Its enterprise private cloud product, which builds on WindowsServer2008, Hyper-V, System Center and its components.

2.WindowsAzure, which is Microsoft's platform-as-a-service (PaaS) cloud computing platform.

Microsoft's private cloud computing products. Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008R2 is an entry-level software tool that drives businesses to create private cloud computing. Taking into account the gap between its private cloud offerings in terms of security, networking and storage, and VMware, Microsoft can be considered backward than WMware.

One obvious weakness of Microsoft's proprietary cloud computing platform is Hyper-V's reliance on WindowsServer2008R2. Hyper-V Cloud Computing uses WindowsServer2008R2, Hyper-V, and System Center to build public and private cloud computing.

Innovation. Microsoft's ability to bring new cloud computing products to the market relies heavily on its years of Windows Server and System Center release cycles, limiting its ability to innovate in the cloud.

Interoperability. This really makes everyone fall under the glasses, Microsoft's enterprise cloud computing products and Windows Azure interoperability almost does not exist. There is only a one-way portable workload from Microsoft's enterprise cloud computing platform to Windows Azure. Microsoft lacks the common cloud computing and workload management capabilities between private cloud computing and public cloud computing.
