WAN Optimization software vendor Netex recently announced that its Hyperip WAN optimization software is the only product in the market that is designed to combine two key it trends (virtualization and cloud storage/computing). It gives businesses unparalleled flexibility to migrate, replicate, and recover cloud-based data quickly and easily, regardless of where the data is deployed in the world.
Netex's Hyperip for VMware leverages the benefits of server and infrastructure consolidation, including new VMware vsphere 4 and its specific cloud capabilities, enabling large businesses and small and midsize enterprises to create private clouds on their VMware virtualization infrastructure. Hyperip can accelerate various VMware data migration capabilities across WANs, including Vmotion and storage Vmotion, vcenter Site Recovery Manager, and Vcenter Accept, Thus optimizing the migration of physical to virtual mirrors. The Deepstorage lab found in recent validation tests that using Hyperip can accelerate the vmotion migration of virtual machines by 10 times times, or even exceed the performance metrics given by Netex.
Infrastructure virtualization has become a key enabling technology as more businesses want to reduce their IT costs by migrating IT infrastructure to computing and storage cloud (as on-demand services). With the increasing number of IT services deployed from various clouds, some experts believe that the economic appeal of cloud computing and cloud storage will become part of the overall trend of "infrastructure for services (IaaS)", in which all IT services will be provided on a demand basis. Netex and its Hyperip software have been designed to improve the efficiency of application migrations and to overcome the cost or bandwidth constraints of data replication, migration, and recovery from the cloud storage site. Hyperip is an indispensable application migration software for any enterprise that uses cloud storage but does not tolerate local failures to restore remote files from downtime. Hyperip solves these problems by enabling enterprises to migrate or replicate large amounts of important information using common Ethernet and TCP/IP networks. In addition, Netex is the only WAN optimization vendor to provide high-speed on-demand recovery technology after a data disaster.
When a disaster occurs, Netex's Hyperip on-demand recovery enables customers to achieve fully open critical performance to accelerate the operation of cloud data recovery. Netex Sales of Hyperip solutions have a variety of scalable configurations (data rates from 1.5mb/seconds to 800mb/seconds). Under this "on-demand Recovery" program, NETEX provides customers with unlimited bandwidth free software keys (fully exposed keys) for 10 days, or until they are fully recovered.
"Cloud and cloud storage will be the foundation of future virtualized data centers, which is no secret, but still requires a viable and economical way to migrate, deploy, and restore the cloud sites that are stored in the world," said Robert MacIntyre, Netex's vice-president for business development and marketing. A large amount of data that is being virtualized. Netex has long recognized this trend, and now we're positioning Hyperip to be the first optimization solution that can migrate a large dataset securely, quickly, and seamlessly across a wan. Hardware-based optimization solutions are unlikely to provide this on-demand (cloud) service, and hardware-based WAN optimization does not achieve the scalability level required for cloud disaster services, and forklift-type upgrades are clearly not feasible. ”
