IBM announces the establishment of Greater China Cloud computing division, it giants grab the Chinese market

Perhaps to feel the impact of HP and Dell in China's IT cloud computing market, Chanda, chairman and chief executive of IBM Greater China, announced yesterday in Shanghai to set up the cloud computing division in Greater China to strengthen the Chinese market layout.

It is the first time that IBM has set up a cloud computing business in China since 2008, when it has rendered the concept of "wisdom Earth" in China.

So far, IBM has captured orders from many of China's key industries.

Chanda said IBM had implemented 2000 private cloud projects globally in only 2010 years, and the IBM Cloud Platform had 19 million users. In addition, IBM has built 10 Cloud labs, 5 cloud centers and 12 backup clouds in global investment. Up to now, 80% of the world's Fortune 500 companies use IBM's cloud computing services.

Microsoft and Intel will not be outdone. Microsoft will set up a cloud computing innovation center in Shanghai next month. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said that in the next 10 years, only the server and Development Tools Division cloud services revenue will reach 10 billion U.S. dollars. Intel last year launched a cloud strategy, and the big pull Alibaba, Baidu, PetroChina, Tencent and other occupation.
