IBM launches Intelligent Cloud computing service platform to facilitate Haitian medical work

It is reported that IBM's SmartCloud Cloud computing platform will provide a "global healthcare network" for health care providers around the world to share and communicate. and volunteers who are currently in Haiti can browse and share instant data and information from the Web. The network has been attended by medical personnel from Canada, China, Haiti, France, Ireland, Italy, Britain, the United States and other parts of the world.

IBM said the 2010 earthquake in Haiti exacerbated the country's shortage of medical equipment and professionals. Because of a chronic shortage of medical resources, according to data released by the World Health Organization in 2009, Haiti is the world's highest infant and maternal mortality rate, high blood pressure, stroke and other diseases.
