The tool is a plug-in that supports the creation of MapReduce applications under Eclipse. It uses the open source Hadoop MapReduce Framework, a framework that enables aggregation-intensive applications to be run on large clusters of commercial machine hardware. How does it work?

Plug-ins can automatically create projects with Hadoop libraries for development and testing, and provide mapreduce template drivers. Once the project is complete, the plug-in can use the SCP (secure copy) to deploy the code to the Hadoop server and execute it remotely via SSH (Secure shell). During execution, you can also interact with the Hadoop task processor via HTTP and display the job status.
