Google has just released statistics on the share of Android versions up to April 2, 2012. The data show the proportions of the various Android versions that visited the Google Play store over the past two weeks, which is true because the data comes from direct user access. The following are the current status of the Android versions: Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.x): As the latest version of the Android system, ICS's share grew from 1.6% last month to 2.9% this month. This is mainly due to the gradual spread of OTA upgrades of some mainstream models, such as HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II. Honeycomb (Android 3.x): remains unchanged at 3.3%, but we expect this number to decline over the next few months, as ICS updates will slowly spread to the honeycom tablet. Gingerbread (Android 2.3.x): From the 62% small ascent to 63.7% last month, it is clear that there are still some devices waiting for Android 2.3 to upgrade. But we can also see that the growth rate of gingerbread has started to slow, with growth of 4% last month and only 1.7% this month. Froyo (Android 2.2.x): Froyo's share has fallen slowly from 25.3% last month to 23.1 now. Eclair (Android 2.1): A small reduction of 0.6%, the share to 6%. Donut (Android 1.6) & Cupcake (Android 1.5): Down 0.2%, but still occupy 1% of the equipment, this part of the user can not consider the upgrade? From the above statistics, we can see that this is an overall update of the Android device to the Ice Cream sandwich system, and we expect the trend to accelerate next month. Soon we will see more gingerbread and honeycomb phones and tablets receiving ICS updates, as well as a batch of ICS new machines listed, such as HTC's high-end model one x and one S.
