According to foreign media reports, a new study has found that the InternetExplorer browser has expanded its lead with the other four most popular browsers in an effort to prevent users from installing malicious software.
Product analysis company NSS Laboratory released a Third-party test analysis software for testing Internet security, especially for using browsers to trick users into installing malware and entering sites with malicious code. Research test results show that Windows IE8 Browser can effectively block 85% of the 562 Web site attacks, become the most efficient security browser in all tested browsers.
By contrast, Mozilla's Firefox 3.5.7 version and Apple's Safari4.0.4 version of the smart blocking 29% attack, Google Browser 4.0.249.78 version can prevent 78% of the attack, Opera10.10 version of intelligence to block about 1% of the attack. In addition to the Opera browser, the 6-month test results for other tested browsers were better than the same period last year.
According to a report, a Microsoft representative disclosed that Microsoft funded the study, but the design of the test and analysis software was completed by the NSS laboratory independently. The NSS laboratory will hold its 2010 RSA security conference this week.
It is reported that the entire testing process in January carried out a 18-day results analysis work. NSS Labs also makes security hints for browser plug-ins, additional features, and more.
