"TechWeb Report" August 8 news, according to foreign media reports, Microsoft said that from January 12, 2016 will not be the old version of IE browser technology support and security updates, the purpose is to urge users to use the newer version of IE browser. Microsoft says that from that day on, it will only support the latest version of IE browsers in each version of the operating system, such as IE9 in Windows Vista SP2, IE11 in the Windows 7 SP, and IE11 in Windows 8.1. Users who use IE8,IE9 and IE10 in Windows 7 SP1 systems must upgrade to IE11 to obtain security updates and technical support from Microsoft. The move means there is no place for IE8. ZDNet website points out that many desktop users are reluctant to IE8, so Microsoft will give it 12-16 months of transition, but Microsoft does not recommend users in the absence of technical support to continue to use the IE8. It is even more difficult to upgrade software for enterprise users. Microsoft knows that outright abandonment of these older versions of IE will make Windows users grumble, so it uses this probation tactic to encourage users to upgrade their software.
