Beijing time November 17 Evening News, according to foreign media reports, IMF president Dominique Strauss-Kahn (Dominique director) said today that the IMF fully supports China's balanced economic growth model, the export of economic growth dependence on private consumption strategy. Mr Strauss-Kahn said China needed to implement a series of policies to achieve a balanced economic growth target. "The reforms that China needs to make include allowing the renminbi to appreciate further," Mr. Strauss-Kahn said. He also said China's economic recovery is "increasingly deterministic" and that China's economic growth will be one of the sources of "the rest of Asia and global economic growth". The IMF estimates that China's economy will grow 8% to 9% this year and next. (Mingxia)
