Enter Windows Vista, create a temporary directory under the current User folder, and copy the Outlook Express mail file into the list;

Note: This step is not required, you can also directly import the mail file located on a USB disk, however, the purpose of this operation is to copy the file into the user folder to ensure that the current user has full operational rights to the corresponding file, to avoid problems that may occur when importing.

In our example, this temporary directory is "C:\Users\HighDiy\Documents\oetmp".

Check all DBX file properties to make sure that no files are set to read-only.

Similarly, this step is not required, but for the same reason, the purpose is to avoid possible permissions problems in the operation.

Start Windows Mail and select File => to import => mail;

In the pop-up dialog box, select the message format "MicroSoft Outlook Express 6", click Next;

Select "Import mail from OE6 storage Directory", click OK;

Next, select the directory where the mail file is stored, in our example, "C:\Users\HighDiy\Documents\oetmp" and then click "OK";

Here, you can also choose to import all folders, or only some of the folders;

So, that's it. After the import is complete, you can see imported folders in the left pane of Windows Mail.
