"Optimize the wrong keywords you will not see good results ..."

If you're on the internet for the first time like me, you might have built a brand new website. Then submit it to the search engine and expect people to appear on your site without a reason and buy anything you sell.
A few weeks later, only a very small number of users stumbled upon your site, and you decided to try to "optimize" your site with key keywords, and hope your site can rank well on millions of sites. But after a few weeks, you will find that there is still no luck.
You are likely to give up the site for this, and then either create a different target market site or be completely disappointed and quit. Well, speaking of which, as you may have realized, this is not a good attitude.
Below I give you a clear example to tell you no matter what project, build a website first step must do.
In this case, we will build a website related to weight loss. Before we start collecting content for the station, we need to look at the key words. This is very important and cannot be omitted. We need to visit some websites to do research on keywords.
The first site is http://www.goodkeywords.com/.
This is a very good keyword tool, and more importantly it is free! After downloading the software, we can enter the most common keywords of our site in the software. In this case, the keyword we choose is "Lose weight" (weight loss).
Please note the screenshot below, (after entering the keyword), keywords returns a list of related keyword groups. The "Count" column shows the number of times this particular keyword has been searched in overture.com in the last one months. In general, to estimate the number of times the keyword has been searched in Google over the last one months, you can multiply that number by 8.
As can be seen from the above picture, in the past one months weight loss has been searched 817,038 times.
Do not use the "weight loss" keyword to optimize the site
"Why"? Perhaps you would ask. Because if a keyword in overture is searched tens of thousands of times, and you want to get a good ranking, the competition will be extremely fierce. This is not the right way to take. For a brand new site, when it comes to optimization, it's best to pick a more specific keyword phrase. I'll explain this in more detail below.
Let's start by opening Google to see how many sites are competing with this keyword.
If you use this keyword to optimize your site, you will be competing with 66 million websites (Web pages)! I don't know what you think, it's a scary and unrealistic goal for people who are just starting to learn SEO.
While at the end of this series of courses, you can end up with the difficult keyword "weight loss" to the front, but generally speaking, it is best to use those less competitive keywords at first. If each of the less competitive keywords can get some traffic, finally you can "lose weight" this keyword line to a good position.
OK, so now we go back to good keywords to find out which keyword is our goal.
Scrolling down the "account" section of the keywords, we found a number of more specific keyword phrases, such as "Weight Loss stories" (weight loss story), "Slimming Pictures" (weightloss picture), "Free Weight Loss program" (Free Weight loss plan) and "Safe Weight Loss" (safety weight loss).
These are the first words we should choose. After we have identified these 3-4 keywords, we need to go to Google to search the number of pages included in each keyword to determine how difficult it is to optimize these keywords.
Let's start with the keyword "Weight loss story" (weight loss story).
(from the image below) you can see that after searching for a "weight loss story" in Google, the first site is: (note: In search engines, the ranking of the site is not the same, so, if you find this site is no longer the first place, it is only the other people to seize the opportunity to compete, Optimize their site and exceed the site. )

This is good news for us, in general, if a website's sub pages are performing well in Google's rankings, we will have a clear advantage over it if our homepage uses the same keywords.
Now, remember what I'm going to say, and I'll be specific about why the home page is easier to get a good ranking than a subweb.
At the same time, you should also note that the page rank value for this webpage is 5.
Note: The following is a simple definition of page rank. Page rank is a number that Google gives to the popularity of a Web page. It is based on the number of "votes" given to your site by other websites. "Voting" refers to the links that other sites make to your site. Generally speaking, the more pages a "vote" (ie a link) gives to your site, the higher the page Rank value (pr value) of your site. The size of Page rank is one of the many factors that Google determines your site rankings.

Next, click on the "Window" section of the browser, select the "page source code" option, click in to see the page source code, as shown in the following figure:
Note: The source code is a simple code for creating a Web page. Don't worry, though HTML is the programming language for most Web pages, you don't need to know HTML languages to work on optimizations. When you look at the source code you just need to know the following:
Clicking on the "page source" (source) will open a Notepad file, we can see whether the page has been "page (Onpage) optimization factor" has been optimized.
Note: (Search engine) optimization includes two aspects, page optimization (onpage) and page optimization (offpage). We will elaborate on the issue of Offpage optimization in a later course.
When we open the page source code for this page, we need to pay attention to these points.
L Take a look at whether they use the keyword "weight loss story" (weight loss story) in the H1 title tag. In this case, they didn't do it ... And they don't even have to fill in the H1 title tag! It's a good news!
L take a look at their keywords on the Web page, "Weight loss story" (weight loss story) whether it takes any form, such as bold, underlined, or italic. In this case, yes ... They did. In fact, throughout the web, they have been around the keyword "weight loss story" (weight loss story) for the bold treatment. This, it seems, is another major reason why they occupy the top spot in this keyword. Bold in the process of optimization we can do the right way, so we can also use the keyword bold. You should also find the singular and plural forms of the keywords, even if the search engine "almost" treats them as the same words.
L Take a look at whether they add the keyword "weight loss story" (weight loss story) to the label of the picture. In this case, the answer is obvious, they don't add keywords to the label of the picture! We are obviously able to do this when optimizing the site. So, the other thing we can do more than the top-ranked page is to add a picture named after our main keyword. For example, we insert a picture called "Weight-loss-stories-graphic1.jpg".
Finally, we need to notice whether they set the keyword at the beginning and end of the page. In this case, they set the keywords at the beginning of the article and at the end. It doesn't matter, we can do that.
We now know how to get over top of the site
... At least we already know what Google thinks are important page optimization factors. The reason we think we can do better than their web pages is because by analyzing their pages we've identified these reasons: their Web pages don't use the keyword "weight loss story" (weight loss stories) in the H1 title tag. They do not use the keyword "weight loss story" in the Alt label in the picture (weight loss stories). Their website PR value is 5, which can be surpassed by us. We can easily reach 5 PR value or even higher. I'll show you the detailed steps in the next lesson. They rank first in the sub page (weight_loss_success_story.htm), if we use this keyword on the homepage, we can surpass them in ranking.
Remember, the most important way to upgrade your rankings is to use Google to search and analyze the top-ranked pages, do what they've done well, and then just do a little better than they do and we can get a better ranking.
We continue to follow the same process to analyze the other two keywords, it is best to each keyword in the search results of the top five of the site are analyzed. If a keyword is in the top five of your search results, there is a website of Google PR value of 6 or higher, unless we can be less competitive, from more easily ranked keywords to build a good momentum and get some initial traffic, then it is best not to choose this keyword.
